Wexford based firm ProVac Ltd, which supplies vacuum equipment to industry and third level research communities, has won the Emerging Technology Award at the national final of the Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards. Nine leading businesses from across the island were selected as winners in their category at the awards ceremony, which took place at the Mansion House, Dublin, on Wednesday, 10th March. The businesses were presented their awards by Ms Mary Coughlan T.D., Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
Presenting the winners with their awards, Ms Mary Coughlan TD, Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise Trade and Employment said; “The diverse range of Ulster Bank Business Achievers Award winners, and finalists alike, illustrates the soaring quality of Irish businesses spread across the country. At a time when innovation and enterprise are crucial to the return to growth in this country, the commitment and motivation shown by these companies is truly inspiring.”
Receiving the award, James Delaney of ProVac Ltd. said; “Winning the Ulster Bank Business Achievers Emerging Technology Award is an honour. I accept this award on behalf of our fantastic team at ProVac. Without their dedication and enthusiasm to keep the company ahead of our competitors during these uncertain times, this would not have been possible. I am delighted to accept an award that recognises this achievement.”
The winning business in each category was selected from a shortlist of four companies, one from each province. Companies were judged on a variety of merits including sales performance, market share growth, company milestones, innovative new products or services and successful achievements by key personnel.
